Development & Communications Director
The Janet S. Munt Family Room is seeking a Development & Communications Director who loves connecting people to purpose, building genuine relationships, and telling stories that inspire people to engage. This person will lead our fundraising and public-facing communications, thoughtfully elevating The Family Room’s work while honoring the dignity, privacy, and voices of the families we serve.
As a member of our Leadership Team, the Director will build bridges with donors, foundations, businesses, volunteers, and community partners through donor stewardship, grants, fundraising campaigns and events, newsletters, our Impact Report, website, and social media. We’re looking for an experienced fundraiser and communicator who is a strong writer, creative thinker, relationship-builder, and collaborative colleague—and who believes deeply in the power of connection and belonging.
Program Support Worker
The Program Support Worker at the Janet S. Munt Family Room is responsible for providing support to families and children utilizing the Family Room programs. Program SupportWorkers assist with on-site programs, including Playgroups, Optional Weekend and Evening groups, Childcare for parent education and more. Your role will involve actively participating in these programs by engaging with families and children, leading activities, singing and helping to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
As a Program Support Worker, it will be important to build positive relationships with families and children, as well as with other staff members and volunteers at the organization. You will also need to be able to work collaboratively with others and communicate effectively to ensure that programs run smoothly and that families receive the support they need.
Family Strengthening Worker /
Home Visitor
Family Strengthening Worker (FSW) / Home visitor supports playgroups and provides one on one direct services to families. During playgroups FSW welcomes, engages and connects with families using the Protective Factors Framework, strengths-based approach, cultural humility and work with a trauma-informed lens. Our work is multi-generational and staff will work with caregivers and children. In playgroups, we play, sing, have communal meals, connect others and support families in many different ways.
Through our home visiting program, FSWs will provide similar services and approaches in either a family’s home, on site at the Family Room or in a community setting. This position requires significant independence and self-directed initiatives as well as strong communication skills and solid teamwork with community partners and program staff.
Home visitors will work with families to assess needs and develop goals, establish a consistent schedule and provide other necessary support to the family.
