Our Impact
The Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP) has identified five key risk factors that can lead to child abuse including: Immaturity, Unrealistic Expectations, Stress, Substance Use, Intergenerational Trauma, and Isolation. The Family Room weaves the CSSP’s protective factors of Parental Resilience, Social Connections, Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development, Concrete Support in Times of Need, and Social-Emotional Competence of Children into all of our programs.
